Technical Explanation
Traditional transport networks required complex signaling protocols (like MPLS, LDP, and RSVP-TE) to maintain path state in every intermediate router. SRv6 encodes the entire desired path into an IPv6 Segment Routing Header (SRH) at the ingress node. In 6G, SRv6-6G extends this by encoding compute instructions directly into the header—instructing intermediate routers to execute AI model inference or route to specific GPU clusters along the path.
