Technical Explanation
The W-band (75 GHz to 110 GHz) sits immediately above traditional millimeter waves. Because it experiences lower atmospheric oxygen absorption compared to the 60 GHz V-band, it is the premier candidate for multi-kilometer point-to-point wireless backhauling between base stations and fiber hubs, delivering fiber-speed 10-40 Gbps pipes across urban rivers, rail corridors, and hilly terrain where laying trench fiber is impractical.
