Technical Explanation
The D-band (110 GHz to 170 GHz, centered around 140-150 GHz) is widely regarded by 3GPP and ETSI as the 'sweet spot' for early 6G Sub-THz cellular access and backhaul. Situated between the 118 GHz oxygen resonance line and the 183 GHz water vapor absorption peak, the D-band offers an exceptionally clean atmospheric transmission window capable of supporting 20-50 GHz wide channels for terabit-per-second wireless data dumping.
