Technical Explanation

The Terahertz spectrum (0.3 to 10 THz) is the bridge between radio waves and optics. In 6G, THz frequencies enable two breakthrough capabilities: wireless terabit communication pipes and molecular spectroscopy. At THz frequencies, molecular absorption lines correspond to the rotational resonances of gases and airborne pathogens. Consequently, 6G THz transceivers can detect toxic gas leaks, identify airborne viruses, and analyze chemical compositions while simultaneously transmitting wireless data.
