Technical Explanation
Optical Wireless Communications (OWC), encompassing Visible Light Communications (VLC / Li-Fi) and infrared laser beams, utilizes the vast, completely unregulated optical spectrum (spanning 400 THz to 800 THz). 6G integrates OWC as a high-speed complementary access layer in aircraft cabins, hospital operating rooms, nuclear power plants, and industrial cleanrooms where RF electromagnetic interference is prohibited or heavily congested. OWC cannot penetrate walls, delivering inherently high physical security.
