Technical Explanation
While 5G URLLC targeted 1 millisecond latency and 99.999% reliability, 6G Hyper-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (HRLLC, or extreme URLLC) pushes performance an order of magnitude further. HRLLC delivers air-interface latencies under 100 microseconds (0.1 ms) and packet delivery reliability exceeding 99.99999% (seven-nines). This makes 6G capable of controlling synchronized industrial robot swarms, high-voltage power grid micro-switches, and robotic telesurgery.
