In-RAN In-Network Compute Node

A 6G base station packaging high-performance GPU/NPU compute blades directly inside the radio shelter to execute sub-millisecond AI inference on raw antenna feeds.

Technical Explanation

In traditional architectures, user traffic travels from the base station across transport networks to an edge data center kilometers away. The Edge-Colocated gNB integrates GPU/NPU/TPU compute clusters directly inside the base station equipment cabinet at the base of the cellular tower. Raw antenna streams, ISAC radar point clouds, and local user AR video frames are processed locally without traversing any external backhaul transport networks.
