SCG
Secondary Cell Group
Group of serving cells associated with the Secondary Node providing additional radio resources in Dual Connectivity.
Technical Explanation
In Dual Connectivity, the SCG comprises serving cells managed by the Secondary Node (SN). It contains the Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell) which hosts dedicated PUCCH for SCG feedback, plus optional SCells. The SCG expands user throughput by adding high-speed carrier capacity without burdening the Master Node.
Key Functions
- Provides supplementary radio throughput in Multi-RAT Dual Connectivity
- Anchored by Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell) carrying SCG PUCCH
- Configured and released dynamically via Master Node RRC signaling
