PSCell
Primary Secondary Cell
The primary cell of the Secondary Cell Group (SCG) in Dual Connectivity (MR-DC) handling SCG PUCCH.
Technical Explanation
In Dual Connectivity (EN-DC, NE-DC, NR-DC), the PSCell is the anchor cell of the secondary node (SN). It operates SCG control procedures, performs initial random access to synchronize with the SN, and carries PUCCH for transmitting HARQ-ACK and CSI for all SCG cells.
Key Functions
- Anchors the Secondary Cell Group (SCG) in Multi-RAT Dual Connectivity
- Carries dedicated SCG PUCCH for secondary node HARQ feedback
- Supports autonomous random access and SCG radio link failure detection
