Open interface connecting Near-RT RIC to E2 Nodes (O-CU-CP, O-CU-UP, O-DU) for control and telemetry.
Technical Explanation
The E2 interface enables the Near-RT RIC to control radio nodes via E2 Application Protocol (E2AP). Functions include: (1) REPORT (streaming cell metrics and UE telemetry), (2) INSERT (intercepting radio procedures for RIC decision), (3) CONTROL (modifying radio parameters), and (4) POLICY.
