Technical Explanation
High-frequency Sub-THz and millimeter-wave handovers occur frequently due to small cell footprints. Traditional handover mechanisms tear down the old link before establishing the new one, causing packet gaps and jitter. Zero-Loss Handover uses AI trajectory predictions to identify target base stations seconds in advance. The core user plane proactively bi-casts traffic to both towers and synchronizes sequence numbers, achieving 100% hitless handovers with zero dropped packets.
