HST-DC

High-Speed Train Extreme Doppler Compensator

Physical layer hardware tracking and pre-compensating severe carrier frequency offsets on bullet trains traveling at 500-1000 km/h.

Technical Explanation

High-speed rail (traveling at 350-500 km/h) and hyperloop prototypes (traveling up to 1000 km/h) experience severe Doppler frequency shifts in Sub-6GHz and Sub-THz bands. A 150 GHz carrier on a 500 km/h train experiences a Doppler shift exceeding 70 kHz, which destroys standard OFDM orthogonality. HST-DC utilizes train GPS/odometer data and forward-looking radar to calculate geometric angles and pre-shift radio carrier frequencies in real time before transmission.

Key Functions

  • Real-time tracking and cancellation of extreme Doppler shifts (>70 kHz) at 500+ km/h speeds
  • Integration with high-speed rail trajectory data for deterministic frequency pre-compensation
  • Maintaining uninterrupted gigabit passenger broadband and train control signaling
  • Smooth seamless beam handovers between trackside micro-poles without packet loss
  • Optimized for OTFS and AFDM waveforms tailored for high-Doppler mobility channels
