A simplified, highly sensitive radio frequency receiver architecture that consumes negligible power to decode control signals on Ambient IoT tags.
Technical Explanation
Traditional superheterodyne and direct-conversion receivers require multiple local oscillators, mixers, and multi-stage filters that consume milliwatts of power. Super-regenerative receivers employ an oscillating circuit that is periodically quenched, providing massive RF gain (>80 dB) in a single active stage. In 6G Ambient IoT tags, this enables nano-watt power decoding of base station interrogation beacons directly from harvested energy.
