Architectural controls ensuring that a subscriber's permanent global identity (SUPI) is never exposed outside the secure core UDM hardware enclave.
Technical Explanation
The Subscription Permanent Identifier (SUPI) is the crown jewel of mobile identity, uniquely identifying a subscriber worldwide. SUPI Protection enforces strict architectural isolation: the plaintext SUPI is stored exclusively inside hardware security modules (HSMs) within the home network's Quantum-Safe UDM. All other core network functions (AMF, SMF, PCF, and base stations) operate exclusively using temporary pseudonyms (5G-GUTI evolution), ensuring the SUPI is never leaked.
