Sub-Centimeter Positioning

High-Definition 3D Micro-Location & Mapping

Centimeter-to-millimeter level 3D positioning and orientation tracking using wideband Sub-THz carrier signals and near-field beam focusing.

Technical Explanation

While GPS provides 3-5 meter accuracy outdoors and fails completely indoors, 6G provides continuous, ubiquitous 3D positioning with sub-centimeter (and even millimeter) accuracy across both indoor and outdoor environments. By leveraging massive multi-gigahertz bandwidths in Sub-THz, spherical wavefront near-field beam focusing, and integrated ISAC radar echoes, 6G base stations pinpoint the exact 3D coordinates and 6-DOF physical orientation of moving robotic arms and smartphones.

Key Functions

  • Sub-centimeter 3D spatial coordinate accuracy across indoor and outdoor environments
  • Sub-degree 6-Degrees-of-Freedom (6-DOF) spatial orientation and tilt tracking
  • Zero dependence on external GPS satellites, functioning deep inside tunnels and basements
  • Simultaneous high-precision localization and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)
  • Guiding autonomous factory forklifts, surgical robotic instruments, and drone swarms safely
