Beam Focusing
Depth-Domain Spatial Energy Concentration
The capability of large-aperture 6G antenna arrays to concentrate electromagnetic energy at a specific focal distance along a beam axis.
Technical Explanation
Unlike classical beam steering which radiates energy continuously along an angular trajectory toward infinity, Beam Focusing concentrates energy at a specific focal point along the beam path. Beyond the focal distance, the beam rapidly diverges. In 6G industrial networks, this enables high-density robotic communication where robots operating directly behind each other along the same line-of-sight can communicate on the same frequency without mutual interference.
