Technical Explanation
Every cellular tower radiates electromagnetic energy into the air. RF Energy Harvesting captures this stray energy using specialized rectifying antennas (rectennas). High-efficiency Schottky diodes or CMOS rectifiers convert high-frequency RF waves (from Sub-6GHz up to Sub-THz) into DC electrical power, generating microwatts to milliwatts of electricity to operate Ambient IoT sensors, smart contact lenses, and medical implants indefinitely without batteries.
