Technical Explanation
In Monostatic ISAC, a 6G base station functions as a classic monostatic radar: it transmits communication signals to users and simultaneously receives the reflected echoes off vehicles, buildings, and pedestrians using co-located receiver antennas. By employing high-speed self-interference cancellation and matched filtering, the base station computes instantaneous distance, radial velocity (via Doppler), and 3D position of all objects in its coverage sector.
