Mesh Sidelink

Autonomous Multi-Hop Sidelink Relaying

A self-organizing mesh protocol allowing mobile devices and autonomous vehicles to relay packets across multiple hops to reach distant base stations.

Technical Explanation

When a user device or IoT sensor is located in a deep radio shadow or outside cellular coverage, Mesh Sidelink turns surrounding devices into cooperative relays. A drone flying outside network coverage can route its telemetry across a chain of nearby vehicles and smart streetlights to reach a distant 6G base station, creating resilient, self-healing ad-hoc networks during emergency search-and-rescue operations.
