Distributed MIMO Cooperative Radio Clusters
Coordinating multiple physically separated radio heads to transmit and receive concurrently, turning inter-cell interference into usable spatial multiplexing gain.
Technical Explanation
In traditional cellular topologies, signals from adjacent base stations interfere with each other, degrading signal quality. Distributed MIMO (D-MIMO) connects multiple physically separated remote radio heads via fiber fronthaul to a shared baseband processor. Signals from multiple sites arrive coherently at the user device, transforming what would have been harmful inter-cell interference into constructive signal diversity and spatial multiplexing throughput.
