Raw Sensor & Radar Fusion Sharing Between Vehicles
The standardized vehicular protocol where connected vehicles broadcast descriptions of all objects detected by their local sensors to surrounding traffic.
Technical Explanation
A single vehicle's onboard sensors cannot see past a large truck or around a blind building corner. Collective Perception Messages (CPM) allow vehicles and smart road infrastructure to continuously broadcast high-level object lists (e.g., 'pedestrian detected stepping off curb behind delivery truck at coordinate X, Y'). Receivers fuse these incoming messages into a comprehensive 360-degree situational awareness map, eliminating visual blind spots.
