Microscopic, optically transparent antenna arrays embedded directly inside the smartphone touchscreen glass to maximize radiating aperture.
Technical Explanation
Smartphones have minimal perimeter bezel space remaining for the dozens of high-frequency antenna elements required for 6G sub-THz communications. Antenna-in-Display (AiD) embeds microscopic mesh conductive films (such as silver nanowires, graphene, or ultra-fine metal meshes) directly between the OLED display layers and the cover glass. Exhibiting over 90% optical transparency, these antennas are invisible to the naked eye while providing an expansive, unobstructed forward-looking radiating aperture.
