Technical Explanation

In Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), the 6G network acts as a distributed radar. The IMT-2030 sensing capability specifies spatial range resolution down to centimeters (governed by the bandwidth c/(2B)) and Doppler velocity accuracy down to fractions of a meter per second. This enables 6G networks to map indoor rooms in 3D, monitor city traffic flows, detect drone intrusions, and recognize human falls without requiring radar guns or optical cameras.
