QCL Type C
Quasi-Co-Location Type C
QCL assumption sharing average delay and Doppler shift parameters for timing synchronization.
Technical Explanation
QCL Type C specifies that antenna ports share the same average propagation delay and Doppler shift. It enables coarse timing alignment and carrier frequency offset tracking from a source synchronization signal (e.g. SSB) to target data channels.
Key Functions
- Shares average delay for symbol timing synchronization
- Shares Doppler shift for carrier frequency offset correction
- Essential for initial channel acquisition from SSB anchors
