QCL Type A
Quasi-Co-Location Type A
QCL assumption sharing Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, and delay spread parameters.
Technical Explanation
When antenna ports are QCL Type A, the UE assumes they share identical frequency and timing dispersion characteristics. The UE applies Doppler and delay spread channel estimates obtained from a source reference signal (such as a periodic TRS or SSB) to equalize the target PDSCH or PDCCH.
Key Functions
- Shares Doppler shift and Doppler spread characteristics
- Shares average delay and channel delay spread profiles
- Used for wideband channel estimation and equalization in OFDM
