Configured Scheduling RNTI

16-bit RNTI assigned to a UE used to dynamically activate, deactivate, or retransmit Semi-Persistent Scheduling.

Technical Explanation

CS-RNTI is allocated via RRC dedicated signaling. It is used to scramble PDCCH DCIs that activate or release downlink Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) or uplink Configured Grant Type 2 resources. It also scrambles grants for retransmissions of configured grant packets.
