Technical Explanation
Free-flying drones are limited by battery life to 20-40 minutes of flight. Tethered Drone Cells utilize a high-strength composite cable connecting the drone to a ground vehicle or generator. The tether provides continuous electrical power and ultra-high-speed optical fiber data backhaul, allowing the drone to hover continuously at 100-150 meters altitude for weeks, establishing an instant high-capacity 6G micro-cell over disaster recovery sites, stadium festivals, or search-and-rescue operations.
