Meaning-Aware Intent Packet Router for 6G Core Networks

Core router that inspects the semantic meaning of data flows, prioritizing, merging, and filtering packets based on their task importance.

Technical Explanation

Traditional IP routers forward packets based solely on destination IP addresses and QoS priority tags, blind to whether packet content is redundant or critical. The Semantic Routing Gateway utilizes lightweight neural network classifiers in the data plane. If multiple sensors transmit redundant ambient video of an unchanged room, the gateway merges them into a single semantic update, prioritizing packets containing anomalies (e.g. fire, security breach) with instant expedited forwarding.
