Technical Explanation

Traditional security relies entirely on mathematical cryptography at higher protocol layers, leaving raw radio waves vulnerable to eavesdropping. Physical Layer Security (PLS) utilizes the physical properties of the wireless medium: spatial multipath fading, noise, and massive XL-MIMO beamforming. By designing beams so that the signal-to-noise ratio at an eavesdropper's location is physically driven below the thermal noise threshold, transmission secrecy is guaranteed by the laws of physics, regardless of an attacker's computing power.
