Technical Explanation

Heavy, wind-vulnerable parabolic dish antennas are difficult to deploy on lightweight streetlamps and rooftop poles. Metamaterial Lens Collimators utilize a flat gradient-index (GRIN) metamaterial plate whose refractive index varies across its surface. Light as a flat panel, it transforms diverging sub-THz waves into a collimated high-gain (>35 dBi) pencil beam with zero spherical aberration, enabling multi-kilometer terabit wireless links between cell towers.
