Edge Configuration Server
The centralized core function that provisions edge deployment configurations and directs Edge Enabler Clients to optimal Edge Enabler Servers.
Technical Explanation
The Edge Configuration Server (ECS) acts as the directory and provisioning brain for distributed edge infrastructure. When a device boots up or enters a new geographical area, it queries the ECS. The ECS evaluates the user's subscription, location, and slice requirements, directing the device to the appropriate localized Edge Enabler Server (EES) with the lowest latency.

- Centralized directory of all distributed mobile edge computing hosts and capabilities
- Directing user devices to optimal local edge servers based on GPS coordinates and cell ID
- Enforcing multi-tenant access control and enterprise edge authorization policies
