Technical Explanation
Legacy Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) examined plain-text HTTP URLs and SNI headers, but modern traffic is almost completely encrypted with TLS 1.3, QUIC, and ECH (Encrypted Client Hello). DPI 2.0 utilizes zero-copy packet buffers and lightweight neural networks that classify application types (e.g., distinguishing an interactive VR gaming stream from a background cloud backup) based purely on packet timing, inter-arrival statistics, and flow size distributions without breaking user encryption.
