Real-Time Distributed Application (<10 ms Control Loop)

Ultra-low latency microservices deployed directly inside the Open Distributed Unit (O-DU) to execute sub-millisecond physical layer radio control.

Technical Explanation

While xApps and rApps operate on loops of 10 ms to seconds, many critical 6G physical layer processes (such as beam tracking, instant channel state feedback, and microsecond packet scheduling) require control within sub-10ms intervals. O-RAN dApps execute directly inside the O-DU hardware accelerator environment, executing neural-network channel estimation, fast beam-hopping, and instantaneous interference nulling at line rate.
