Sub-0.1 Millisecond Air Interface One-Way Latency Requirement

Core 6G capability reducing one-way wireless transmission delay to under 100 microseconds (0.1 ms).

Technical Explanation

To synchronize microsecond-level industrial robotics, closed-loop power systems, and tactile sensations, 6G cuts the air interface one-way latency from 5G's 1 ms down to less than 0.1 ms (100 microseconds). This is realized through extreme sub-carrier spacings (960 kHz and above), ultra-short mini-slot symbol durations, non-orthogonal multiple access, and immediate grant-free pre-allocated transmission slots.
