UE-AMBR
UE Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate
Maximum aggregate bit rate allowed across all Non-GBR flows across all active PDU sessions for a UE.
Technical Explanation
UE-AMBR caps the total simultaneous throughput a UE can consume across all its active PDU sessions and network slices. It is delivered by the AMF to the gNodeB in the Initial Context Setup message, and the gNodeB scheduler polices total radio throughput accordingly.
Key Functions
- Caps total non-GBR throughput across all active PDU sessions of a user
- Enforced centrally by the gNodeB scheduler over the air interface
- Delivered from AMF to gNodeB during connection context setup
