SRS-RSRP for CLI

Sounding Reference Signal RSRP for Cross-Link Interference

Measurement framework where victim UEs or gNodeBs measure the isolated reference signal power transmitted by specific aggressor UEs in SBFD.

Technical Explanation

Unlike CLI-RSSI which measures blind aggregate noise, SRS-RSRP allows a victim node to detect the exact Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) sequence transmitted by a specific aggressor device. This enables the base station to identify precisely which transmitting terminal is causing interference, executing directed spatial beam nulling or power back-off.

Key Functions

  • Identifies specific aggressor terminals causing cross-link interference
  • Measures channel path loss between interfering user devices directly
  • Enables gNodeB schedulers to apply targeted spatial nulling or resource segregation
  • Improves interference resolution accuracy over generic wideband RSSI measurements
Specifications
3GPP TS 38.215, TS 38.214 (Rel-18)
Interfaces
