PRACH Format 0

Long Preamble Format 0

Long preamble format (length 839, 1.25 kHz SCS) spanning 1 subframe (1 ms) for cell radius up to 14.5 km.

Technical Explanation

PRACH Format 0 uses a long Zadoff-Chu sequence of length 839 with 1.25 kHz subcarrier spacing, occupying 6 PRBs (1.08 MHz). With a cyclic prefix of 3168 Ts and sequence duration of 24576 Ts, it supports large cell coverage radii up to approximately 14.5 km.

Key Functions

  • Supports macro-cell coverage up to 14.5 km radius
  • Uses 839-length Zadoff-Chu sequence with 1.25 kHz SCS
  • Operates with standard 1 ms radio subframe alignment
