Point A
Absolute Frequency Reference Point A
Universal reference frequency identifying the center of subcarrier 0 of Common Resource Block 0 (CRB 0).
Technical Explanation
Point A is an absolute frequency reference coordinate defined for each carrier. It corresponds to the center of subcarrier 0 of CRB 0. All resource grids (for all numerologies) are defined relative to Point A. In SIB1, Point A is signaled as an absolute ARFCN, anchoring all BWPs and channels.
Key Functions
- Serves as the zero-frequency reference for all carrier resource grids
- Signaled as absolute ARFCN frequency coordinate in SIB1
- Ensures coherent alignment across different numerologies and BWPs
