CRB
Common Resource Block
Global reference frequency grid of 12 subcarriers numbered from absolute reference frequency Point A.
Technical Explanation
Common Resource Blocks (CRBs) establish an absolute frequency grid across the entire carrier. CRBs are numbered from 0 upwards starting at Point A. Each BWP's PRB grid is anchored to this global CRB grid via an offset parameter (BWP-start), allowing multiple overlapping BWPs with different subcarrier spacings to align precisely.
Key Functions
- Provides absolute carrier-wide frequency reference grid starting at Point A
- Anchors multiple BWPs to common subcarrier reference points
- Prevents alignment errors between channels with different numerologies
