Technical Explanation
By 2030, nation-state quantum computers are projected to threaten classical asymmetric cryptography. The Universal SIM Post-Quantum Mandate obligates all 6G operators and handset manufacturers to issue subscriber modules running NIST FIPS 203/204 algorithms (ML-KEM and ML-DSA). This ensures that subscriber identities (SUPI/SUCI), authentication keys, and over-the-air cryptographic handshakes cannot be decrypted by current or future quantum adversaries.
