Side-Channel Leakage Shield

Electromagnetic & Power Trace Mitigation

Hardware and software countermeasures that eliminate subtle power consumption and electromagnetic radiation leaks used to steal crypto keys from mobile chips.

Technical Explanation

When a microchip executes cryptographic calculations, slight fluctuations in its electrical power draw and radiated electromagnetic emissions leak information about the private keys (Differential Power Analysis - DPA). The Side-Channel Leakage Shield incorporates constant-time cryptographic assembly routines, random algorithmic masking (blinding), and internal noise-injection circuits on silicon, making it impossible for physical attackers with oscilloscopes to steal keys.

Key Functions

  • Constant-time cryptographic algorithmic execution eliminating timing side-channel leaks
  • Randomized algorithmic masking (blinding) preventing Differential Power Analysis (DPA)
  • On-chip hardware noise injection scrambling electromagnetic emissions from crypto dies
  • Protecting mobile iSIMs and base station hardware from physical laboratory probing attacks
  • Compliance with NIST FIPS 140-3 Level 4 physical security standards
