Technical Explanation

Classical pseudo-random number generators (PRNGs) rely on mathematical algorithms that can theoretically be predicted if an attacker discovers the initial internal seed state. Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNG) harvest entropy from genuinely non-deterministic quantum phenomena: measuring the arrival times of single photons or the quantum phase fluctuations of vacuum states. The resulting random numbers are physically proven to be non-deterministic and unbiased.
