Dual-SIM NTN-TN Coordinator
Concurrent Non-Terrestrial and Terrestrial Network Handset Engine
Terminal protocol engine managing seamless simultaneous dual-registration and traffic steering across satellite and terrestrial cellular networks.
Technical Explanation
6G smartphones operate simultaneously across terrestrial cellular networks (TN) and non-terrestrial satellite constellations (NTN). The Dual-SIM NTN-TN coordinator orchestrates baseband resources, dual-active transmit paths, and packet scheduling. If terrestrial coverage drops or degrades, real-time voice, video, or data sessions are transferred seamlessly without dropped packets, using multipath transport layer protocols like MP-QUIC or L2 dual-connectivity.
Key Functions
- Coordinates concurrent transmission between LEO satellite and ground gNB
- Suppresses mutual inter-band RF interference within the smartphone chassis
- Manages dynamic packet aggregation and buffer reordering across disparate latencies
- Preserves user session continuity during sudden terrestrial cellular outages
