Technical Explanation
Radio waves cannot penetrate seawater due to extreme ionic conductivity. The Deep-Sea Hybrid Relay connects subsea autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and oceanographic sensors to the global 6G network. Subsea nodes communicate via acoustic waves (long-range, low-rate) and blue-green lasers (short-range, gigabit-rate) to an autonomous surface buoy, which bridges the data directly to 6G LEO satellites.
