Technical Explanation
While 5G peaked theoretically at 20 Gbps, 6G elevates the peak throughput metric by 50x to 1 Tbps (or even multi-Tbps in controlled sub-THz optical environments). Achieved by aggregating contiguous multi-gigahertz channels in the D-band (130-175 GHz) and G-band (175-300 GHz) paired with ultra-massive MIMO spatial multiplexing, this capability enables instant data kiosks (transferring an entire raw multi-terabyte dataset in seconds) and terabit data center interconnects.
