SSC Mode 2
Session and Service Continuity Mode 2 (Break-Before-Make)
Session continuity mode where the network releases the old IP address before establishing a new session at the new location.
Technical Explanation
In SSC Mode 2 (Break-Before-Make), when the UE moves to a new location, the network releases the existing PDU session (and its IP address) and immediately establishes a new PDU session through a local UPF. It is ideal for delay-tolerant or stateless applications that benefit from localized edge routing.
