SRS for Codebook Based Transmission
SRS resource set used by gNodeB to determine optimal uplink precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) and rank (TRI).
Technical Explanation
When a UE is configured for codebook-based PUSCH transmission, it transmits an SRS resource set with usage set to 'codebook'. The gNodeB measures the SRS across antenna ports and signals the Transmitted Precoding Matrix Indicator (TPMI) and Transmit Rank Indicator (TRI) in DCI Format 0_1.
