Standardized protocol for streaming multi-channel object-based 3D audio, adjusting sound field orientations instantaneously as user head poses rotate.

Technical Explanation

In immersive telepresence and metaverse applications, audio cannot be a simple stereo mix: individual audio objects must be rendered in 3D space relative to user head orientation. Rel-18 defines low-latency audio transport profiles that synchronize audio object position vectors with head-tracking coordinates, maintaining sub-10 ms acoustic localization.
