Frequency-Selective NCR

Sub-Band and Channel-Specific Repeater Amplification

Filters and amplifies only the operator's specific licensed carrier frequencies, rejecting adjacent competitor channels and out-of-band interference.

Technical Explanation

Broadband repeaters amplify all signals in the air, creating severe inter-modulation distortion with adjacent operators. Rel-18 Frequency-Selective NCRs incorporate programmable digital channelizer filters that isolate the host operator's exact 100 MHz channel allocation, suppressing out-of-band energy and preventing regulatory interference disputes.

Key Functions

  • Isolates and amplifies only the host operator's licensed carrier bandwidth
  • Rejects adjacent channel interference from competing mobile network operators
  • Suppresses out-of-band spectral regrowth and intermodulation distortion
  • Complies with strict national spectrum licensing regulations worldwide
Specifications
3GPP TR 38.867, TS 38.106 (Rel-18)
