Technical Explanation

Enterprises running private 5G networks refuse to upload proprietary manufacturing telemetry to public operator clouds. Rel-18 standardizes a Federated Learning framework within the 5G Core: local NWDAFs train models inside private enterprise perimeters and upload only mathematical gradient updates to the central operator NWDAF, preserving 100% data sovereignty.
